Richmond residents urged to explore their home city

May 20, 2017 by

Members of the public from Richmond are invited to get a sneak peek into how their home city runs during the upcoming Doors Open Richmond.

This community-wide event, which is being offered on a free-of-charge basis, will give people an opportunity to explore some of the city’s best known landmarks, historic sites, places of worship, businesses, and public works buildings. Many will have special exhibits, activities and giveaways set up for the day, and some will also have staff or docents on hand to describe the structure, as well as its function and history, and to also answer any questions visitors may have.

The city has produced a map that shows all of the locations that will be open to the public and what will be taking place. The different buildings that are participating will accept visitors from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm during both days of the event, and all ages are welcome. A local print company can supply brochures and an assortment of other branded promotional products that can be distributed during a community-wide function such as this.

Doors Open Richmond will be held throughout the day on both Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4. To find more information and a full list of the participating sites, head over to the Hello BC website.
