Pets set to take over Calgary park

This summer, Calgary’s Eau Claire will be, quite literally, going to the dogs.

Pet-A-Palooza will feature activities that both pets and their human companions can enjoy. The family friendly event will include everything from bulldog races, wiener dog competitions, a puppy stampede, and dock diving.

Over 80 exhibitors will also be participating. Free samples will be offered, and there will also be animal rescues that will have displays set up to let the public know what they can do to lend their support and also be a good companion to their pet.

Those who come to the festival are welcome to bring along Fluffy or Fido, and they can browse through the displays, take part in the different activities and perhaps even do some shopping. There will be lots of free swag handed out, and branded promotional products like this can be supplied by a printer.

The two-day extravaganza of all things related to pet care will raise funds to help support the Just Love Animals Society, which celebrates the world’s nonhuman residents, rescues dogs, and hosts community events to raise public awareness about the welfare of animals.

Pet-A-Palooza will be held on July 29th and 30th in Calgary. There is no charge to participate, and further information and a list of sponsors has been made available on the event’s website.
