New Westminster Arts Society brings together artists and printers

October 31, 2011 by

The New Westminster Artist’s Society, based in New Westminster BC, has brought together 32 local artists and 32 local residents from various BC communities to display a collection of drawings, sculpture, photographs and also prints to be showcased at the River Market on November 4-6. The subject of the pieces will cover a whole spectrum of subjects, from politics to social issues to everyday musings in the New Westminster and surrounding communities.

Artists will be paired with all kinds of individuals in the community to capture the essence of the individual and community in a representative art form. Artists are matched together with politicians and even historians and are brought together as Perfect Strangers, where they learn about each other and portray their understanding of the individual in community art pieces.

Print companies in both the New Westminster and other local areas should be interested in exploring the realistic artistic representations of the Perfect Strangers River Market exhibit. Local artistic representations can lead to images suitable for different sorts of advertising purposes on banner printings.

Where the artistic pieces will end up after the River Market event is still undecided. For printers looking for compelling new local designs and images, this may be perfect event for print companies.

Apart from the New West Artists’ Annual Showcase, the organization holds other artistic and cultural events year round, like the New Westminster Cultural Crawl. Registration is open to all artists in the community.
