New art to discover every Sunday

Artful Sundays will be running from April 12 to September 2 at the Napier Greenway. Hours of operation will be 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm each Sunday. This is a free event sponsored by the Britannia Community Services Centre.

There will be lots to see in this outdoor art marketplace, such as visual arts, a multimedia market, musical entertainment, artist demonstrations, informative booths highlighting various community groups, and the Artful Sundays Cafe. Artists who wish to display their works would be wise to work with Vancouver printing companies to help them prepare. Banner printing, postcard printing, and sign printing would help to draw attention to a booth. Postcards are quite popular and are an excellent form of advertising for artists. The artist might decide to provide a sample of their work on the front then provide all the contact information on the back, similar to large-format business cards. Unlike business cards, postcards often get displayed on refrigerators or are framed and hung on walls. Each time that person sees the postcard they will be reminded of the artist. No doubt community organizations will also be relying on printing companies to provide them with such things as brochures and flyers to help educate the community about they work they do.

Britannia Community Services Center is located on the east side of Vancouver. It offers services and programs for those living in the area, providing recreational and social services, including a library. Attending this event will help provide some of the funding for this worthy organization.
