Moonlight snowshoe and Nordic dinner planned for Edmonton

Winter may have arrived in Edmonton, but that doesn’t mean that people have to stop enjoying fun in the great outdoors.

During an upcoming Edmonton event, participants will have an opportunity to discover the beauty of a winter evening lit by the light of the surrounding city. Attendees will gather at Victoria Golf Course, which is one of the oldest municipal golf courses in Canada, to strap on their snowshoes for a guided tour of this piece of urban parkland.

After the moonlight snowshoe tour, guests will be able to relax in front of a roaring fire while they enjoy a three-course meal, served buffet style. The Nordic meal will be prepared by Culina’s Dogwood Café, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by those who would like a glass or wine or beer with their dinner. Those who plan an event like this can use the services of a custom drinkware provider to supply them with souvenir customized wine and beer glasses. These can be given to each participant as a memento of the evening.

The Moonlight Snowshoe and Nordic Dinner has been scheduled for March 2 at Victoria Golf Course’s Driving range, which is located at 12130 River Valley Road. Ticket prices for the evening have been set at $55 each. The event is open to those ages 16 and over, and additional details can be found on the Explore Edmonton website.
