Mississauga race planned in support of Trillium Health Partners

An event has been planned for Mississauga that will see racers take to the streets in a friendly competition that will use vehicles that are a little bit out of the ordinary.

The community’s Celebration Square will serve as the venue for this year’s Scotiabank Better Together Bed Race. Thousands of locals are expected to come out and cheer on the racers, who will be taking part in this day of fun in support of Trillium Health Partners. More than 20 teams have signed up to take part, and the winner will be presented with the Golden Bed Pan.

Along with the excitement of the competition, there will be other activities as well. There will be performers on hand to entertain the crowds, as well as food, games, prize draws and dancers. Wristbands that allow the wearer access to the rides and other activities will be available for a donation of $5, and entry to the event itself is free of charge. A printer that crafts customized stationery will be able to supply pledge sheets, branded wristbands, vendor application forms and more that can be used to help ensure that a fundraiser such as this is a success.

All of this has been planned for June 4 in Mississauga in Celebration Square, kicking off at 12:00 pm. Additional information can be found on the Discover Mississauga website.
