Meet the new chair of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce

The Halifax Chamber of Commerce Spring Dinner 2012 will be held at the World Trade and Convention Centre on May 2 from 5-10 pm. Tickets for the dinner are $175 for chamber members and $225 for non-members; tables of ten are also available for $1750 and $2250.
There will be a reception from 5-6 pm, giving chamber members and potential members from Halifax and Dartmouth the chance to meet with one another; appetizers and drinks will most likely be served. Ordering some more business card printing in advance would be a good idea for those who are planning to attend the dinner; there will no doubt be lots of time to exchange cards during the receptions and dinner.
It’s suggested that each person should bring at least 50-100 cards to every networking event; those cards should also be up-to-date and in pristine condition. This is a social event but as with all Chamber events there will be the opportunity for “soft sell” networking and business men and women will be able to grow their referral networks. The smart ones will follow up on any leads they receive the day after the Spring Dinner.
Dinner will be served beginning at 6 pm and there will be musical entertainment from Matt Anderson and Dave Gunning. The evening will end with a post-dinner reception. During the evening those in attendance will hear from the outgoing chairman of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and will be introduced to the new chairman.
