Luncheon will kick off the new business year

February 14, 2017 by

The 107th annual general meeting of the Delta Chamber of Commerce is taking place next month. It will also feature the State of the Community speech by Mayor Lois Jackson.

The meeting will start off with a buffet luncheon where attendees will have the chance to network with their business peers.

The main reason for the general meeting is to nominate and elect the new directors and officers for the Chamber of Commerce. While it is open to the entire business community, only members will have the opportunity to vote for their choices. Once the decisions are made, each new director and officer will be sworn in by the mayor.

The meeting is also a look ahead to what the Chamber plans to do in the 2017-18 session. The mayor will be discussing the state of the city and will talk about what is expected to happen this year.

It is likely that most of the business leaders planning to attend this meeting will be placing a new business card printing order with their favorite Delta print company.

The annual general meeting and State of the Community speech will be held at the Delta Town and Country Inn on March 15 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Tickets are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for nonmembers. To find out more about this event, call 604 946-4232.
