London awards honor excellence in business

February 7, 2017 by

The 34th annual Business Achievement Awards gala is taking place next month, presented by the London Chamber of Commerce.

In the business community, this event is considered the ‘Academy Awards’ of business excellence in London, and attracts approximately 1,200 business leaders each year.

This represents a networking opportunity for London businesses and those attending will no doubt be bringing along their premium business cards to exchange with their peers. There will be plenty of chances during the evening to talk business with those in attendance and the winners of the various awards.

The event includes a sit-down dinner and the awards program. There will be awards handed out in six separate categories, which are Business of the Year for Small, Medium and Large Companies (with one award for each size of business), Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Leadership, Agribusiness, Excellence in Human Resources and the Innovation Award. There are currently three or four nominees for each of the eight awards, and their winners will be eligible for the Ontario Business Achievement Awards.

The Business Achievement Awards gala will be held at the London Convention Center from March 22 from 5:00 to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $145 for London Chamber of Commerce members and $175 for nonmembers, or tables for 10 can be booked.
