Local businesses given chance to shine

The Grow Halifax networking trade show is taking place next month, presented by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
The event is open to the public and admission is free; those planning to attend should RSVP in advance. There are expected to be over 35 vendors on hand to showcase their services and newest products, and those already confirmed to attend include several local universities, travel providers, and various industries.
Expert speakers will be on hand to give talks about topics such as best practices and economic forecasts. There will be interactive stations where vendors can work with the public and a drawing to win a personal headshot photograph.
Grow Halifax is an initiative of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. Its aim is to help members grow businesses, knowledge and networks. It does this through education, collaboration and public events.
With this being an important event for business leaders in both Halifax and Dartmouth, no doubt most of those attending will be bringing luxury business cards to exchange and help them make connections with their peers.
The Grow Halifax networking trade show will be held at Kenneth C. Rowe Hall on May 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. For the most current information about this event, and to find out which vendors have been accepted, contact Kayla Cotton at 902-481-1230.
