Langley to host road upgrade information evening

According to the City of Langley, it has received many requests for improvements and traffic calming measures along the stretch of 50 Avenue that borders Conder Park, and has set up a public event where it will reveal its future plans to make this happen.

The open house will give the public an opportunity to peruse the concept plans for the changes and improvements that will be made as part of the city’s $400,000 commitment to make road upgrades. The plans will be presented, and members of staff from Langley will be on hand to take comments and answer any questions from the crowd.

The event’s listing noted that letters of invitation will be sent to each household in the area that will be affected by the work, but it went on to say that all city residents are welcome to attend. Wide format printing can be used to create largescale photos, maps and artist’s concept drawings, along with other items that can be used during an event such as this.

The open house and presentation will take place in the multipurpose room of Nicomekl Elementary School on May 24th, starting at 5:30 pm. It will run until 7:30, and additional details can be found on the city’s website, by calling 604-514-2997 or through email at engineering@langleycity.ca.
