Langley BC artists pack house with art
August 25, 2011 by Martin
A co-operative effort on August 23rd in Langley has ensured that a mosaic of art graces the walls of Fort Gallery, the only exhibit in Langley where paintings are stacked one upon the other and are grouped according to subject and ideas. The set-up is intended to permit the largest number of paintings to be shown at one time, filling the walls with everything from landscape to abstract.
Printers might be interested in this exposition of talent in Langley, a tradition which is called the Summer Salon and has its roots in 17th century France. The 18 member artists works will be on display, small affordable pieces that differ yet also coordinate in terms of tone, colour, theme, and style.
Events like the Summer Salon allow printers interested in the local arts scene to cultivate business relationships with new and emerging talents in the Langley arts scene. The Summer Salon is a particularly favorable opportunity for printers, since it allows professionals to market their own printing services to multiple artists in one single event.
Artists often require professional services that fine arts printers can provide, such as printing using sophisticated inkjet methods, digital pigment printing or giclee printing services. Local artists often also need printing products like digital business cards and other promotional paraphernalia that is representative of their work and artistic and professional in nature.
Fort Gallery in Langley hosts artistic events year round that are very helpful exhibits to help local print companies expand their clientele and explore the printing needs of artists in local communities.
