Kitchener conference to be the toast of the town

Toastmasters, which is an international organization that helps people to become better public speakers and communicators in general, has planned a conference in Kitchener this spring, and all of its members from Southwestern, Northern and Central Ontario are invited to attend.

The District 86 Toastmasters Spring Conference 2017 will feature a variety of activities, including contests, workshops and presentations from keynote speaker Kelly Swanson. There will also be an opportunity to participate in leadership training, idea exchanges, networking and recognition of the contributions and achievements of the organization’s members.

The theme selected for this year is “beyond boundaries”, which reflects the membership’s desire to move outside its comfort zones and reap the benefits of trying new experiences. To help make the event a success, the organizers are seeking the assistance of volunteers who will be willing to lend a helping hand. There are a variety of task available, and anyone who is interested can fill out an application form to do so. Note pads, promotional pens and other customized promotional products can be used as swag for an event such as this.

The conference has been planned for April 28 to 30 in Kitchener’s Crowne Plaza Hotel. Anyone who would like to attend is asked to visit its website for more information, registration options and an opportunity to fill out a volunteer application.
