Gin to take centre stage during Sherwood Park workshop

June 5, 2017 by

Gin is a spirit that has long been used as the base for a wide assortment of mixed cocktails, and in Sherwood Park, the public is invited to come and learn more about this popular beverage.

‘The Shaken Not Stirred? A Journey With Gin’ workshop will give those who participate a thorough grounding in gin and the different ways it can be used. Facilitated by Noel from Wine and Beyond Emerald Hills, the class will also cover the different types of gin that are available on the market, and the participants will learn the recipes for seven different cocktails, both classic and contemporary, that are crafted using these spirits.

The event, which is intended to provide an introduction to gin in an atmosphere that is both social and fun, is open to those age 19 and over. The admission price has been set at $28.47 each. A local printer can supply branded cocktail glasses and other custom drinkware that can be used during a class such as this.

The event will be held in Wine and Beyond’s Emerald Hill location, which can be found at 7000 Emerald Drive in Sherwood Park. Both additional details and an opportunity to purchase tickets to attend the workshop, which has been planned for June 28, can be found on the Wine and Beyond website.
