Fundraising golf tournament give players a choice

The annual Golf Day of the Markham Board of Trade is taking place next month, raising funds for the organization and providing an opportunity for both members and nonmembers to network and learn more about each other’s business.

Players can choose between 18 or 9 holes of golf, and will have the use of golf carts. There will be on-course activities and contests, raffle draws, and lunch and drinks on the course. The day will finish off with a cocktail reception followed by a barbecue dinner.

Golf is often used to help make business deals and for business leaders to make connections with one another. It is very likely that most of those planning to participate in the Markham Board of Trade tournament will be taking along their premium business cards to exchange with their peers. They may also check to see if they have enough cards and, if not, make sure they place a new printing order with their regular printing company.

Fees for 18 holes of golf are $160 for members and $210 for nonmembers. For 9 holes, it costs $100 or $150 (this does not include lunch). The cost to just attend the dinner is $75 per person.

The Golf Day will be held on June 20 at the Rolling Hills Golf Club. Call 289-844-3024 for the latest information.
