Family friendly Canada Day entertainment coming to Leduc
June 19, 2012 by Martin
Canada Day is a celebration to be spent with family and friends and the City of Leduc has arranged for quite a party in the city for this year’s Canada Day outdoor concert. The line-up was announced by the city recently and features top local talents as attractions at the family friendly event.
The Leduc outdoor Canada Day concert also offers some impressive opportunities to local printers as well, who will help promote the free and fun community event throughout the city. According to the manager of service planning and community development in Leduc, the Leduc concert is one of the best community-based events, drawing visitors from all over the region and attracting 4,000-6,000 people per year. The fireworks display is also among the biggest in the province.
This year’s Headliner will be Stereos, an Edmonton pop band who have been Juno nominated, with the opener being Derina Harvey Band, also hailing from Edmonton. The outdoor concert will also showcase young and upcoming talents, including Hendersheetz, a country and pop singer based in Leduc itself.
The Canada Day celebration will begin with the outdoor concert, followed by a family movie screening in the early evening and fireworks shows at 11:00 pm. The event is expected to begin at 7:00 am and finish well into the night.
Some excellent opportunities for local printers will exist here, beginning with poster printing for the various artists on the day of the event and posters throughout the city from the weeks leading up to July 1.
