Fall fair to return to Brampton next month

August 2, 2013 by

The 160th annual Brampton Fall Fair is to take place in the city over four days in September.

The event is presented by the Region of Peel Agricultural Society and this year’s theme is ‘Looking Back and Moving Forward’.

The Fair’s many craft contests are set to draw visitors in from far and wide. Those who wish to compete are required to pay a $5 fee for each item they register. They can then compete on such topics as flowers, baking, vintage cars, photography, antiques, gardening and crafts. The other amateur competitions at the fair will involve the subjects of horses, poultry, and dairy.

The Fair will also feature a baby show, a demolition derby, carnival rides, live performances, an antique show, and the popular Brampton Fair’s Got Talent show.

The Junior Farmers’ Hall will house a variety of exhibits and displays courtesy of Ontario’s young agriculture enthusiasts. The Fair is known for having something to appeal to every member of the family, regardless of age and interests.

Brampton printing companies have been called upon to provide a range of marketing materials. Items such as flyers and posters can be used by organizers to spread the word about this popular annual event.

The event will take place at the Brampton Fairgrounds from September 12-15. Admission is $20 for a four day pass or $10 per day; seniors and students tickets are $8 per day and children’s are $2 per day. For more information, call 905-843-0210.
