Event will help to showcase Alberta food providers

The Alberta Food and Beverage Expo is taking place next month in Red Deer. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Red Deer Firefighters Children’s Charity.

There are expected to be over 120 vendors representing area restaurants and suppliers. There will be food to sample as well as wine, beer and cocktails. Guests purchase sampling tokens for 50 cents each; samples will cost a minimum of two tokens. Vendor spaces are still available for $525 for a 10 x 10-foot booth. Many of the vendors are expected to provide gift certificates for purchase.

The first hour of the expo is for the industry only. Attendees will be representatives of bars, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets; they will be invited privately. This is a good opportunity for the food suppliers to find new clients.

The public portion is also good for the vendors as it will no doubt find new customers.

It is very likely that any gift certificates that will be handed out by Red Deer companies will be provided by a local printing company.

The Alberta Food and Beverage Expo will be held at the Prairie Pavilion at Westerner Park on April 5 from 4:00 to 10:00 PM. Admission is $20 and parking is $5. Visit the official event website for more information or to become a vendor.
