Eco-business Breakfast in Mississauga
November 29, 2011 by Chloe
The Brampton Board of Trade, along with Partners in Project Green and the
Mississauga Board of Trade, are presenting an Eco-business Breakfast on December 6 from 8 am-10 am. The subject of the breakfast will be Driving Sustainability through the Supply Chain.
The event will be held at the Centre for Health and Safety Information in Mississauga. Discussion will be moderated by David Wojcik of the Mississauga Board of Trade; panellists will include Brad Chittick, Trevor Lui and Philip Ling who are all involved with the Pearson Eco-Business Zone. Tickets are $22.12 for Brampton Board of Trade members or $30.97 for non-members.
The supply chain follows the process of creating a product from its raw state to its finished state. Those in attendance will learn what the best practices are to sustainable chain development, what drives companies who demand sustainability and how sustainability can benefit a business. The emphasis of the panel will be on how to incorporate environmental policies into that supply chain. It is only good business that companies take the environment into consideration.
The Eco-business Breakfast will also be a good opportunity for networking among like-minded business owners. Those attending from Brampton and surrounding areas would be wise to arrange for extra business card printing before attending the event. While at first meeting business owners may not see what business they can do together, if they have a business card and a slight memory of the person they will be more willing to call when they require their services.
