Darts Hill Garden Park hosts tour and plant sale
August 10, 2012 by Stephen
The Darts Hill Garden Open House and Plant Sale will take place at Darts Hill Garden Park on September 15 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Admission is free but a donation is suggested.
There will be tours of the garden throughout the day and public plant sales will also be offered. The garden is mainly known for rhododendrons, azaleas, and magnolias, some of which will probably be available for sale. There will also be a Master Gardeners’ table, which will provide gardening help, tips, and hints for fledgling gardeners. Surrey printing companies will no doubt be called upon to provide services such as flyer printing and brochure printing. Flyers and brochures are reasonably inexpensive and are the perfect way to provide information to the public. Those who wish to learn all they can about gardening will definitely want to take a brochure or flyer home that lists all the tips they learned at the Open House.
The Darts Hill Garden Park sits on 7.5 acres of land donated to the City of Surrey by Edwin and Francisca Darts. Mrs. Darts herself has been instrumental in the development of the park. The garden continues to grow and develop and the next area to be created will be a native plant garden.
Those who enjoy gardening or just looking at beautiful plants and flowers should enjoy touring Darts Hill Garden Park and they will even get to bring home some plants that were grown there. Please note, however, that most of the garden is not wheelchair accessible.
