Concert series helps to warm up the winter

December 23, 2016 by

The 2nd annual Winterruption is taking place next month in Regina for three days, presented by the Regina Folk Festival and forming part of its concert series.

The show will feature more than 40 artists, 17 groups, six musical shows and one live podcast. There will be several concerts and events taking place at three venues in the city. Some of this year’s performers are Elliott Brood, Heather Bishop, Danny Michel, Begonia and The Garrys.

In addition, the children will not be forgotten. Fred Penner will be performing a matinee on June 21 at the Knox Metropolitan Church beginning at 1:00 pm. Tickets for adults are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and $15 and $20 for children.

The podcast that will be recorded live is ‘Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids’. This self-explanatory titled podcast features regular people reading things that they wrote when they were children or teenagers.

It is likely that organizers will have invested in poster printing services from a Regina printing company.

Winterruption will take place from January 19 to 21 at three venues: The Exchange, The Artesian and the Knox Metropolitan Church. Ticket prices vary. To find out more about the acts that will be performing over the three days, contact the Regina Folk Festival at 306-757-0308.
