Celebratory fundraiser planned for Sherwood Park

An event has been planned for Sherwood Park that will celebrate the life of Jenna Mahar while raising money to support a local not-for-profit group.

Love and Sunflowers has been planned as a public event, and everyone is welcome. There will be music and dancing, and those who come out will have an opportunity to remember Ms. Mahar, as well as the people who have touched their own lives and made them special. A cash bar will be set up for anyone who wish to purchase refreshments, and according to the organizers, they have planned or it to be a fun evening for everyone who participates.

The event will be held in the Sherwood Park Log Cabin, and since the venue can only accommodate up to 200 people, once that number has been reached, the doors will close for the night. Half of the proceeds from the function will be donated to the eating disorder unit at the U of A. Those who plan an event such as this can use the services of a local stationery printing company to supply them with printed invitations, tickets and more.

This celebration has been planned for Friday, July 21. The ticket price has been set at $15 each, and they, along with additional details, can be found on the event’s listing.
