Cambridge to host Street Art Festival

Downtown Cambridge will be transformed later this month, during the International Street Art Festival.

Adults and students are invited to apply online to participate in the festival. Student’s artwork will be judged based on style and creativity, with the winner receiving a $500 prize for their school to purchase art supplies.

Artists specializing in graffiti will also be welcome, adding a unique twist to Cambridge’s festival. All artists will be supplied with chalk and pastels.

Spectators can look forward to music, food from onsite vendors and the opportunity to watch local artists at work.

Food and non-food vendors are needed for this event. Sponsorship packages are available, including company name and logo placement on posters used in high traffic city areas, as well as brochures distributed throughout.

Volunteers are needed to support this event, and should register online before the festival. All volunteers will be supplied with a t-shirt. Students may use these hours towards their high school community service hour requirement.

The Cambridge International Street Art Festival will be held in Downtown Galt on Main Street, on Saturday June 24th and Sunday June 25th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm daily.

Inspired by a street art festival in Lake Worth, Florida, Cambridge’s event is set to inspire artists and amaze the local residents who attend. More information can be found on the festival website.
