Cambridge residents invited to spend Valentine’s with the butterflies and birds

November 30, 2016 by

Cambridge residents who are looking for something different to do this Valentine’s Day are invited to a special event that will also show some love to the area’s wetlands.

The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory will be hosting its Valentine’s Day Dinner and Stroll. Guests will be able to enjoy a romantic evening walk through the tropical gardens while they watch the free flying birds and butterflies all around them. After that, it will be time for an elegant dinner with four courses of gourmet treats. Those who want to go a step further can also order a bouquet of roses or tulips or a bottle of white or red wine. Variable data printing can help to build the romance of a day such as this by producing special invitations that have been customized with the name of each guest.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kossuth Bog Foundation. This organization is working to protect the Kossuth Bog, which is one of the last spruce bogs left in the Waterloo Region.

Tickets for the evening, which includes the meal and a visit to the conservatory, are $65 each. The event will take place on February 14, 2017, and passes to attend the festivities will go on sale starting in January. They will be available for purchase trough the conservatory’s website.
