Calgary Zoo to host special celebration of love

This Valentine’s Day, Calgary couples are invited to enjoy a romantic evening at the Calgary Zoo.

Guests for the zoo’s annual In the Heat of the Night event will be treated to a romantic dinner in the ENMAX Conservatory. After the meal, there will be a specially themed presentation that highlights some of the ways wild creatures romance each other.

Partway through the presentation, there will be an intermission during which dessert will be served and diners can have their pictures taken in a Mardis Gras-themed photo booth while they socialize with the others who are taking part in the event. Custom drinkware for a function such as this can be supplied by a printer.

Ticket prices for the In the Heat of the Night Valentine’s celebration have been set at $100 per person if purchased for a table for two. Tables of six are also available, and the price for these tickets is $90 each. Parking is free for zoo members, while for nonmembers it is being offered at a special price of $7 for the evening. Those who buy their tickets ahead of time can also opt to purchase a stuffed lemur for delivery to their companion while they are enjoying their dinner.

The event will be held on both February 13 and 14. Additional details can be found on the zoo’s website.
