Buy at the Calgary Mom Sale

The Calgary Mom Sale will take place at the Bowness Community Centre on June 2nd from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Admission is $2 and proceeds go toward supporting Team Diabetes of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
The sale will feature up to 80 tables offering gently used babies’, kids’ and mothers’ items as well as brand new products from commercial vendors who cater to the same market. Suggested items for resale are maternity clothes and toys. In addition, there will also be prize draws, 50/50 draws and a silent auction; no doubt local Calgary companies will be donating items for the auction.
For those who wish to sell their used items, table rental is $30 or, for commercial companies, $60. It will be a good opportunity for those who wish to earn a little extra money, for those who wish to start their own home-based business selling used items, and for those companies in Calgary who are not as well-known to the public as others. Commercial vendors can arrange for such services as banner printing or poster printing to help draw attention to their items. Those who are attempting to start their own business can also arrange for business card printing so they can help get the word out in the community.
Team Diabetes is a fund raising program of the Canadian Diabetes Association which encourages participants to “Walk, Run, Hike or Bike” to raise money for the cause. Over 9 million Canadians suffer from diabetes and the association raises fund for research.
