The Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce will be holding an event that recognizes the important role that groups and individuals play in their communities. It is inviting he public to nominate those whom they feel are most deserving of recognition for all that they do.

The Citizen and Group of the Year luncheon will see the Chamber recognize the winners of the ward and the rest of the nominees as well. Anyone who would like to nominate an individual private citizen or origination is asked to explain why, in 200 words of less, they feel the person or group deserves to win. They asked to include their name and address, as well as their contact information. It suggested that they describe their volunteer work, what challenges they have had to overcome, and also the contributions they have made to their community. Letters of reference, newspaper clippings about them and testimonials will also be welcomed. Customized corporate gifts can be prepared for the winner and nominees of an award such as this.

Ina addition to the Citizen and Group of the Year awards, the event will also see the Mayor of Moose Jaw giving his State of the City address.

The luncheon will be held at the Heritage Inn on January 12th from 11:45 until 1:00. Nominations must be received by no later than December 31st, and further details are available on the Chamber’s website.
