Burns-themed event to draw attendees continent-wide

April 12, 2017 by

Fans of poet Robert Burns from across North America will soon be converging on Medicine Hat for the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Robert Burns Association of North America.

The weekend-long event will include an assortment of activities, and all are invited to take part in them or just the AGM itself. The three-day function will kick off with golf, and this will be followed by a meeting of members of the organization’s board. Registration will take place in the evening, and the day will draw to a close with a traditional ceilidh.

The next day will include a tour of the city, as well as a study session, lunch, cocktails and a formal dinner. Branded memo pads, personalized pens and other swag can be supplied by a local printer for an event like this.

Medicine Hat can be reached by road or air, and the hotel that will be hosting the AGM is offering attendees a special rate. Guests are advised to request the Burns Club rate when they book their stay for the weekend.

The Robert Burns Association of North America AGM will take place from Friday, April 28 until Sunday, April 30 in the Clarion Hotel. The final date to register is this Saturday, April 15, and additional information can be found on the organization’s website.
