Burger Week to offer fun on a bun in Halifax

Halifax burger lovers will soon have an opportunity to sample some of what the city’s restaurants have to offer while helping to ensure that all Nova Scotians have enough to eat.

The Coast will once again be hosting its Annual Halifax Burger Week. Local gourmands will be able to enjoy the offerings of an assortment of city restaurants that will be offering $6 prix fixe burger specials. The public can use a specially designed passport to see which eateries are offering what, then try the ones that catch their eye.

Some of the offerings during the week will be designated as ‘Feed Nova Scotia Burgers’, and a portion of the sales of these will be donated to Feed Nova Scotia. This not-for-profit group provides food and other support to more than 150 food banks. Since it first started, this annual event has raised more than $100,000 for the group.

While people are enjoying the festivities, they are reminded to be on the lookout for the Miniburger branded car. If they see it, they can snap a photo, tag it and share it on social media for a chance to win a bag of swag. A printer can provide an assortment of promotional products that can be used for this. One winner will also have an opportunity to be chauffeur driven in the vehicle to their choice of participating restaurant.

For more information about the event, which will run from March 23 to 29, people are asked to visit its website.
