Brampton set to get seedy

February 12, 2017 by

Brampton’s gardening community, and those who are looking for something special to add to their own home landscapes, are invited to an event that will bring together both amateur and professional horticulturalists from all over the area.

This will be the Brampton Horticultural Society’s fifth annual Seedy Saturday and Garden Show. The public is invited to come out and learn more about how to make their own garden beautiful. There will be an assortment of presentations and exhibits from experts in the field that will help people to develop their gardening skills, and also give them time to meet and network with others in the local horticultural community.

A big part of the day will be the seed swap and sale, where people can sell, purchase, or trade seeds with other gardeners. The who plan on coming out are encouraged to bring along the kids, as there will be a kids’ zone with activities planned just for them. The Seedy Café will be set up so attendees can enjoy a light snack and refreshments while they browse. Signs for a function like this can be supplied by a professional printer.

The Seedy Saturday and Garden Show will be held on March 11 in the Century Gardens Recreation Centre. The first 100 people to arrive will each receive a free plant to help them get started on their gardening journey. Additional details have been provided on the city of Brampton website.
