Brampton Day 2011
September 6, 2011 by Chloe
The City of Brampton hosts many community events through the year. These events range from the annual jazz festival, to Halloween fright nights, to the upcoming Brampton Day. In order to keep the public informed on these events, the authorities enlist the help of a
flyer printing service in Brampton to provide literature about all of the current and upcoming events. This double-sided flyer is colourful, easy to read and contains contact information for each event.
One of the biggest events of the year, Brampton Day 2011 will take place on September 24 and will be sponsored by the City of Brampton and Brampton City Save. It is called ‘Brampton’s biggest block party’, and festivities will take place in downtown Brampton from 9 am until 2 pm. The event features a free BBQ, a Kids’ Zone, musical entertainment, a roping display by the Brampton Acro Ropers, the Brampton Farmer’s Market, information on city services, a community showcase and many other fun things for the whole family.
At 11 AM there will be a Vigil for Peace held in the Rose Theatre Garden Square; all events will pause for the service. This will be followed by the official opening ceremony and cake cutting at 11:30 AM also in Rose Theatre Garden Square.
Events such as this help to develop a sense of community; they help to give residents a sense of pride in where they live and give residents an opportunity to get to know their neighbours. They also give those living in the city a chance to show off their talents.
