Annual golf tournament sells out

The 20th annual Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region Golf Tournament is taking place next month. Funds raised will be donated to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region.

This event is always popular and has already sold out. Participants will play 18 holes of golf with the use of carts, and there will be on-course contests such as longest drive and top score, with prizes to be awarded at the dinner.

Players will also enjoy a lunch, food tastings on the course from local breweries, food trucks and restaurants, and the chance to ‘Beat the Pro’, who is Kris McGowan this year.

The tournament will be followed by a social mixer and then a barbecue dinner. There is also set to be a silent auction with a variety of items donated by local businesses and individuals.

Sponsorships are still available for purchase for $450 and $300. Sponsors will be recognized both on the course and at the dinner, with signage no doubt obtained from a Waterloo printing company.

Habitat for Humanity is an international organization that builds homes for needy families. The families then receive an interest-free home with a manageable mortgage.

The golf tournament will be held at Rebel Creek Golf Club in Petersburg on June 8 from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. For more information, or to become a sponsor, contact Jessica Eusebio at 519-747-0664.
