Annual food festival planned for Halifax

February 5, 2017 by

Halifax foodies who want to sample local food and wine may wish to save the date for the annual Savour Food and Wine Show.

The show, which is one of the premier food and wine related events in Atlantic Canada, will shine a spotlight on the offerings of restaurants and wineries from across the province, having been held for the past 10 years. Those who organize an event like this can have custom drinkware created that can be given out as souvenirs to anyone who attends, or included in prize baskets for door prizes, raffles and more.

More than 70 restaurants will be offering the attendees samples of their dishes and vintages, giving those who come out an opportunity to try as many as they wish. A special accommodation package has also been made available at two local hotels for those who will be coming in from out of town, or who simply would prefer to spend the night rather than drive home.

The event, which is being hosted by the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia, will be held in the World Trade and Convention Centre on March 9. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $85, and it is open to those age 19 and over. Additional details have been made available to the public on the event’s website.
