The 12th annual Saltscapes East Coast Expo is being held over three days next month.

The show is a celebration of life in Atlantic Canada and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

It is divided into several different areas: Savour the Flavour showcases local foods and features cooking demonstrations; Home, Cottage and Garden will offer seminars about gardening and home improvement; Living Healthy in Atlantic Canada will have health and wellness information; and Saltscapes Pet Place will provide information about the animals people make part of their families.

There will be many vendors on hand to sell items made in Atlantic Canada, which includes local artisans who will be selling their handmade, unique works of art in media like jewelry and painting, as well as larger companies such as vehicle manufacturer Subaru that will be displaying their latest models.

The show will also provide travel information, healthy living tips and lots of giveaways from the vendors. Items the vendors, who will likely come from the Halifax or Dartmouth area, will be giving away may include note pads, promotional pens or money-saving coupons.

The Saltscapes East Coast Expo is taking place at the Halifax Exhibition Centre from April 21 to 23. Tickets are $13 in advance or $14.50 at the door. For the most current information about this event and its itenarary, call 902-464-7258 x221.
